Zeenab Foods Limited, operators of the Nigerian Exporters Hub and the Nigeria Export Trade House, China/Far East in partnership with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Wednesday commissioned the maiden export edition of agro-commodities by corps members.
575 bags of ginger would be exported by the corps members under the aegis of Nigeria Exporters Club-NYSC 001 multipurpose cooperative, after being tutored by management of Zeenab Foods Limited.
The Chairman, Zeenab Foods Ltd, Mr. Victor Ayemere, said the initiative would equip the corps members with the necessary skills on exportation of products.
We were given the mandate to setup and operate The Nigerian Export Trade House in China and Fareast Region by the Federal Government through the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC).
Since then, we have been working round the clock to ensure the objectives of setting up the trade house in China is achieved.
By so doing, we engaged and got the approval of the DG NYSC to handhold the corp members towards exporting activities.
Our main objectives is to demystify the various challenges associated with Export thereby transforming the average Nigerian youth from being import dependent to an export oriented mindset.
To us this is a clarion call. It is a call to serve and we are willing to give it the very best we have got he said.
The Director, Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED), NYSC, Omotade Ayodele Folorunsho, while expressing delight about the project, said it tallies with the institution’s gospel of self-reliance to corps members.
He advised the corps members to take it very seriously.
